Coming of age romantic drama set against the underground drum n bass, acid and house music scene in the mid-1990s, SJ, a young aspiring singer is fed up with her coastal town Bournemouth. She moves to London to create a name for herself. Not long in town she falls for the handsome Airbeats and also the sinister music producer Russel – D and encounters the dark side of the music industry.
PURPLE BEATZ (Formerly Clock) premieres at the BFI Southbank for the Opening Gala of the I Will Tell International Film festival 2022 on Thursday 7th July.
Doors open at 5:00pm and the screening will start at 7:00pm.
The Screening will be followed by a Q&A with key Cast and Crew.
