I Will Tell 2026 Featured Speaker

Luke Walton

Robert Beckford I Will Tell International Film Festival speaker and guest.

My Story

Luke is the founder and director of The Pitch Film Fund and its production arm, Reel Issues Films. In this capacity he has been developing and producing since 2008. This delivers character driven stories proposed by emerging talent which also takes a fresh angle on adapting ancient texts, with multiple awards at international festivals.

He is Executive Producer on a short docu-series The Climb (2025 – RIF/Bedlam Productions.) Luke is also an actor and was the voice of Hugglegrabber in Early Man, the stop-animation feature from Aardman directed by Nick Park.

Luke read Law in Leeds before joining the NHS management programme. He left that to work as an actor (Riding Lights Theatre company and voice work including in the Aardman feature Early Man). In 1994 read theology in Durham before being ordained priest and working in parishes in Manchester and Bristol. In 2006 he joined the staff of Bible Society and founded The Pitch Film Fund, producing Bible stories reimagined as award winning contemporary short films. And yes, he was in the same classes as Sir Sam Mendes and Tom Piper MBE.
