Cathy Elizabeth Tyson is a highly accomplished English Stage, Film and TV actress whose career spans 40 years. Her work has garnered critical acclaim  with a Golden Globe nomination and BAFTA winner. She also starred in the hugely successful 90s ITV drama series Band Of Gold, but turned down roles during the height of her fame so she would not be typecast as a prostitute. Since the beginning of her career Cathy has always been interested in telling the stories of black people from history. LILIAN is her directorial debut.
