Yellow-Blue Butterflies

Yellow-blue Butterflies is a multimedia project about the power of art as a tool for psychological support to children affected by war. It combines a dance performance with a short documentary film, brought together in a single cinematic work. The film features the real stories of the protagonists a girl, a choreographer, and a film director whose personal experiences of war became the emotional foundation for the project. The unique format of the film is a blend of documentary, choreography, music, and symbolic imagery makes it suitable for film forums and intercultural festivals. At the heart of the story are those who find a path to healing through creativity: a director who lost the ability to dance during the war but returned to art through film-making; a 12-year-old girl who began dancing again after experiencing fear; and a choreographer who teaches people to speak with their bodies so that pain does not remain silent. In documentary segments, psychologists explain why long-term emotional support and the development of creative programs for children are just as important as humanitarian aid.
