Orwell Rolls in His Grave is a provocative documentary examining the relationship between media, political power and democracy. Through interviews with journalists, commentators and leading thinkers, the film asks searching questions about who controls the flow of information, how public opinion is shaped and what happens when the institutions responsible for holding power to account become entangled with it.

More than two decades after its release, its questions about truth, influence, ownership and whose voices are heard feel strikingly relevant.

This special I Will Tell screening is held in honour of Professor Jason Arday, whose life and work have challenged assumptions, expanded possibilities and opened space for voices and perspectives too often overlooked. Following the film, voices from media, law, academia, faith and culture will come together to explore the questions it raises and consider their significance for Britain today.
